More than just a gas station...

When we first moved to Tulsa there were a few things we noticed pretty quickly.  If you need to grocery shop it is either at Reasors, Walmart or Target.  If you need gas you get it from either Kum & Go or QuikTrip (QT) – and QT is KING.

People told us to go to QuikTrip for lunch – I thought it was a gas station?   Oh no, QT is so much more than just a gas station.

For Christmas, one of my co-workers put a QuikTrip giftcard in my stocking so I would go check it out.  So when my family was in town and we needed a beverage for our sightseeing.. we headed to QT.

IT WAS PACKED!  Not just with customers, but with a TON of workers.  We must have been asked 4 times if we needed help with anything (at a gas station?!)  They have food there – but not your typical hot-dog-spinning-forever-gas-station-food.  They have fresh sandwiches and pizza, and tons of other stuff!  Not to mention their beverage options – HOLY MOLY!  They had an entire wall dedicated to tea!  And multiple ice options!

Needless to say… it gets better!  My new friends here in Tulsa told me about QT’s benefit packages and that they even offer tuition reimbursement.  According to their website they have been recognized since 2003 as one of the 100 best companies to work for.
