Savoy

Savoy... ohhhh Savoy!  Savoy is a locally owned family restaurant that will knock your socks off!  Matt and I love getting breakfast on the weekends.  We realize this is "our thing"!  I heard about Savoy from a coworker.  She had never been to Savoy before, but said they were known for their cinnamon rolls.  GIANT cinnamon rolls!

One snowy Saturday, Matt and I decided to try it out.  Once you walk in, there isn't a hostess or anyone to greet you - there really isn't a "lobby" -  You take a number and stand.  When I type this, it sounds like it isn't great - however, because you take a number and wait to be called, you know where you are at in line!  It is great!

The service here is SPECTACULAR!  I have NEVER waited more than a minute to be greeted by a server and we have NEVER had to ask for a refill!  They keep the coffee, soda, tea.. whatever flowing constantly!

Now for the best part - the food!  The first time we went, Matt and I got the same breakfast - the Farmers Breakfast.  But we switched up our sides.. I got pancakes and he got biscuits and gravy.  The pancakes were pancakes - nothing to write home about, but the Farmers Breakfast itself was SUPERB!  It had all of the right flavors and spices!  Not to mention the eggs.  Both of us commented that the eggs were perfect... not just in how they were cooked, but the texture and everything.  We saw a sign on the wall that stated they are FARM FRESH EGGS.  Boy! What a difference!

I had never tried Biscuits and Gravy before.. so Matt let me try his.  My world changed... Biscuits and Gravy where have you been all my life!?  Now I order Biscuits and Gravy at EVERY restaurant we go to - but none can compare to Savoy!

I seriously cannot wait for someone to visit so we can take them to Savoy... it is a breakfast game changer!
